Brady Lake Village residents pay the highest taxes in the county,plus an income tax,to get way less than the highest services.

1-BLV mayor Hal Lehman has NO power to make BLV employees do their job they get paid to do.
2-BLV clerk Ethel Nemeth got a $4000 raise,yet BLV has been classified by the state as UNAUDITABLE.
3-BLV police chief Dave Kinney has been shown to be a liar,but still gets his $30,000 a year,plus benefits.
4-BLV zoning inspector RT Mansfield seems to be able to weasel his way out of doing his zoning job and has for many years.
5-Former BLV fire chief Ken Bescoe should have been fired for the stunts he pulled while fire chief,but instead he's now on BLV council.
6-The list could go on and on,but just look around BLV at the streets and fire trap houses. Judge for yourself.

Franklin Township residents have lower taxes,plus no income tax,un-like Brady Lake Village residents.

Franklin Township residents have things much better for less money.

1-Far better emergency services.
2-Way better streets and roads.
3-A larger tax base,to be able to get government grants.
4-Officials who will actually listen and act on resident complaints,in a timely fashion.
5-When you go to a Franklin Township meeting,your never told to shut up,or escorted from the meeting for asking questions.
6-Take a look at the new Franklin Township maintenance garage on Ravenna Road and then look at what Brady Lake Village has on Merrill Road.
7-Do your own comparison shopping and see what you think.

2-90% of the streets are so bad,they're un-patchable.
3-The lake overflow is caved in,with nothing being done by BLV officials.

6-The BLV mayor doesn't have enough backbone to take charge of the whole operation,so the clerk is running things,in her own NEPOTISM way.
7-There's plenty more wrong in BLV,but you get the idea.

Brady Lake Village officials must think public records are a joke ?

I've lived in,and paid taxes to,Brady Lake Village for 36 years.
In that 36 years,I've never been able to get a straight answer about how,or why my tax dollars are spent,especially since BLV clerk Honest Ethel Nemeth took over the whole operation.

Why would questions from Brady Lake Village tax payers,make the BLV officials SO ANGRY ?

If the Brady Lake Village officials had nothing to hide,then they probably wouldn't tell a village resident to shut up,or escort a village resident out of a BLV council meeting for asking questions. Something stinks at village hall,more than just the stupid answers.

Is the problem their village pay checks,or are the village officials just stupid ?

Why even have Brady Lake Village public records,if the public can't have them ?

In the last 2 years a small group of people have been trying to get Brady Lake Village public records. This task has been impossible. Less than 1/2 of the public records requested have actually been given to the public. This is how things are in BLV,or Clerksville with Kinneylaw.

After paying the highest taxes in the county,plus an income tax,BLV residents get  90%  of  the village streets are horrible,way too many un-inspected fire trap rentals,a caved in lake overflow,and officials that don't care to hear about it,but the BLV officials  have a new village hall to run the way they want.
The list goes on,but you get the idea.

If Brady Lake Village residents ask too many questions at council meetings,they are either told to shut up,or escorted out of the meeting.

When 36 year BLV resident Dan Boyle ask about a 25 year old bad property problem,at a BLV council meeting,he was told to shut up.

When Sis Archer a 25 year BLV resident, ask about the lake flooding and an impounded then stolen boat,she was escorted out of a BLV council meeting.

The Brady Lake Village clerk gang just had to have a new village hall,when the old one,could have been used.

While the Village of Brady Lake had a caved in lake overflow,horrible streets,and way too many bad rentals,the Village Idiot Officials,spent OUR tax dollars on what THEY wanted,so here we are,in the mess we're in.

Brady Lake Village was once part of Franklin Township. Why not go back ?

In 1927 Brady Lake Village was started,for the benefit of a few gangsters.
There's never been enough money to operate Brady Lake Village correctly,without doing something dishonest,so honestly,let's go back to Franklin Township,and pay lower taxes,for much better services.

Why could we never get straight answers from the Brady Lake Village officials ?

It's a shame some BLV residents had to get outside help,to try and solve BLV problems.
We're sure the Ohio Ethics Commission can help us.

This is a Clerk Gang Alert! Look out! The people that make the decisions for us are not necessarily elected! In other words, we had no choice, we didn't have much say. For example, R T Mansfield was hired or appointed or however they do it. I guess he was a friend of someone, don't know who, seems he was exempted from meeting the qualifications for his job, probably no application. Bescoe is definetly a friend of the mayor because it's almost impossible to be a lake patrol if you can't swim, a fire chief if you can't put out fires, or a council person if you can't vote no! As far as the elected officials, that's an easy one, you can always win even if not qualified because NO ONE is running against you! I don't know if there is a one vote minimum or not? This election should be interesting since most are totally fed up with the lack of concern for the residents or the village. I wouldn't want to try to straighten out the mess that's been created!
