I donated 5 plus years to BLV zoning,the fire department,parks and rec,plus many other things.

I became angry after learning how BLV leadership really works,and why BLV is in the shape it is.
It's dysfuntional to say the least. I tried to make a difference working from within BLV government,but it just wasn't possible for me to tell as many lies,as the BLV leaders do.

I even politely tried to make a difference with my news paper article,but the was finished, because a couple BLV leaders complained to the Record Courier.
I can understand sometimes you not agreeing with the way I do things.
SHIT,sometimes I don't even agree with me,but something has to be done. In my opinion,it's about 35 years long overdue.

There's just not enough money generated from 500 residents to operate BLV in a way that is fair and safe for the tax paying BLV residents.

BLV has dyfuntional leadership in part,because you can't get good help if you can't pay them a decent wage. BLV needs a real zoning inspector,but we have RT Mansfield,who needed an unpaid assistant.
We have a mayor and clerk,that were elected from within BLV,that leaves very little to pick from with 500 residents,and most of them do not want the job anyways.
BLV has a police chief that can't seem to make it elsewhere,and he needs the job so bad,he has made BLV zero tolerance,for bullshit reasons.
The BLV fire department is just what the Akron Beacon article said,(NOT NEEDED).
This morning I spoke with the head of the Portage County Tea Party,and even he mentioned the need for the BLV fire department,because he read the Akron Beacon article.
Folks,people from outside BLV can see how skrewed up things are,so why can't the BLV leaders ?

BLV used to have 2 police cars,and that was 1 too many. The BLV mayor Hal Lehamn,works for Kent State,and found a deal on 2 of their old Crown Vics.
SO,instead of just taking 1,Hal said what a deal,give me 2.
The cars were in need of many things to make them safe for the road,but BLV started using them anyways.
When BLV council asked me to start working on the police cars,I tried to tell council they only needed 2 cars,that needed alot of work. They certainly didn't need 3.

Telling the mayor or the clerk,that thinks she's mayor about vehicle maintenace or anything related,is like talking to the carp in the lake. At least the carp smile,and eat weeds.

SO,BLV now has 3 police cars that are always going to need work,plus they get bad gas milage. The way BLV chooses to support this problem,is for the BLV police to give out more traffic tickets.
This is just more reasons for BLV to become part of Franklin Township. Things are not done this way in Franklin Township. I've been to Franklin Township meetings,and those leaders DO listen to residents who make sense.; May 3, 2011 at 1:27 PM

He's a BLV councilman,and used to drive the village plow truck,in case you hadn't heard.

He also used to be the proud owner of the blue plastic car port tent and Fiero,that was at his grandma's house,that he rents from her. One of those guys deserves that place next to the bridge,by Dan's shop. The back property floods every year,and the only way to really get to the pole building out back,is through Dan's fence. There used to be a gate in it. I'm sure Dan will put the gate back for the Mathes Boys. They will also need one hell of a plumber to fix the pipes in that house,not to mention the out dated oil furnace.

That issue has been talked about by the village idiot officials a few times. Most village residents are not aware of what's going on,because they don't go to meetings,but they don't go to meetings because they became disgusted,like most people do with BLV leadership.
What would be wrong with putting things like this on the BLV web-site ?

Anyways back to the BLV park.
The park is likely Indian Burial Grounds,so nothing should be done until that issue is resolved.
It's going to take some of us concerned citizens to find out what's up with the BLV park property. The BLV leaders are not going to do it,they just want the money.
3 of us are already working on how to go about this problem,of old Indian Burial Grounds.

Any club or organization I ever belonged to,it took 2 signatures to do anything with the money.
The BLV clerk,that thinks she's mayor has some bad habits,and signing checks by herself is one of the worst.
This is just how she runs things by having the power of the check book. BLV council is in such a hurry to get the meetings over with. They gloss over paying bills,and listen to what ever the clerk says.
Plus,if you question the clerk about money,she gets pissed off. Many of us have seen this happen. Former BLV councilman Lynn Frederick,got tired of this type of smoke and mirrors,and resigned.
Lynn's replacement,former fire chief Ken Bescoe won't say shit,because he's alot of the problem.

In one of our past BLV public records request,we ask for the record on who did the brakes on the BLV police cars,since the police chief Dave Kinney,wrote in a maintenance report that the brakes had been done,and the cost.
The cost was so cheap,Kinney thought it made him look good.
All that did was to raise a red flag,because no certified shop could possibly do the brakes that cheap.
We got NO ANSWER,as to who did the brakes. You get 1 guess as to who did them,Mr.Maintenance himself,Dave Kinney did them.
This is the same Dave Kinney,that told me he had done maintenance on his Ford Ranger Pickup,before the village bought it from him.
That was a lie !
The spark plugs had been in so long,and rusted so badly,they would not come out,and the truck was missing on 1 cylinder.
This is the same Dave Kinney,that went to a BLV council meeting,and told council the 1 BLV Ford Crown Vic,needed a transmission. BLV council asked me to look at it,and come up with a price to fix it. That very same Crown Vic just needed a good tune up,and some brake work to be safe for emergency use.
SO folks,not only does Dave Kinney not know how to do certified maintenance,he's a lier.
Kinney also went so far as to falsify a maintenance report,that had my shop's name in it. All the proof of this can be seen on the other 2 CAMP blog sites.

What they have had done in the woods at Carson Park is a tragedy!
I was told by one of the clerk's gang that the village needed money and basically what the residents thought didn't matter because "the village needs the money". I reminded her that the residents ARE the village and that they needed to start remembering that.
The village bunch seems to forget what is convienent for them like the residents of both BLV and Franklin Township who did not sign the letters from Ohio Valley for the gas well. They were the majority and they did not rule.
They seem to forget that everyone who has been in and around Brady Lake for years knows that there is a good possibility that there is an Indian Burial Ground in the woods that they just destroyed and that a core test needed to be done before anything was done with that property. I know for a fact that they knew this but were not respectful enough of anyone to do what was right because "the village needs the money".
That property was also donated by Mr.Carson "for a park"-guess that doesn't matter either.
The village bunch needs to be ousted, now!
They should be made to replant the woods seed by seed!

Bescoe's son used to call Loreal a Niglet.
I told Loreal to stand her ground,and not to take shit from bullies. I did not learn this until years later,but when Loreal stood her ground with Bescoe's son,he pulled a gun on her,and said he would shoot her.
My girl friend Laura,didn't tell me for years,because she was afraid,I would go to Bescoe's house and end up in jail.
She was right.
SO,when I started helping out at the BLV fire station,I gave Bescoe the benefit of the doubt. Some people grow up and change their way of thinking.
WELL,Bescoe did not change.
Bescoe and BLV mayor Hal Lehman,still think it's funny to tell n-gger jokes at the fire station. While I was helping out at the BLV fire department,Besoce went on to lie to council,and just about anyone he came in contact with. I finally had enough,and started to tell on him.
Hal Lehman,and the clerk gang could not have that,so here we are today.

The David Harris house on Brady Lake Road,had a red taged furnace,Harris removed the tag. The furnace is actually in the garage,that still has a garage door on it,but is now a room under the house. The house had horrible wiring,that would give the former residents a shock when using things in the house. The basement had black mold in it,because the walls leaked. Pictures of the Harris wiring job are on the other CAMP blog sites. You probably don't need a permit for paint and soffit,but you do for the many other violations,the David Harris rental has.
Harris is the kind of guy who will half ass repairs if you let him,and people die from half ass home repairs,that's why the need for permits.

As far as Todd Noe's work. You might want to check with some of his former coustomers,as to how they feel about his work. Ask Jon Mathes about his roof and re-roof job. There's plenty of area people who will not call Todd again for any work. Maybe that's why he went bank-rupt,and needs to go out of state to work.

Last year Allen Mathes strated his shit,with yelling,fingering,chasing,and lurching his Ford dump truck at me. It would have been easy enough to just beat Allen's ass,he's a stupid jerk. I chose to do things another way,and not use violence.
SO,after sending Dave Kinney e-mails about what Allen Mathes has been doing,and Kinney not doing anything,but fuel the fire with Allen. I decided to use another game plan. Dave Kinney started to follow me through the village,when I did my road test. Kinney even went so far as to do u-turns to follow me.
With Allen Mathes pulling his shit,and Kinney following me. I decided it was time to carry a camera,and pepper spray on my road tests,and any other time I'm in the village. I could probably beat either Mathes,or Kinney's ass,but that would make me as bad as them. I refuse to stoop to their level,but I'm not going to take their shit.
I WILL,file a law suit against the village,and SOME of the employees.

The way RT Mansfield goes about things it was impossible to work things out,and it's no wonder the Violantes sued. They kept saying they would if RT kept up his bullshit. Rt went so far as to try and keep the Violantes from using,what Rt believed to be village shore property.
I was called to testify in court as to what I knew about and saw at the Violante property. In court that day,was the village attorney's husband husband Mike Hostler,who is related to the Hostlers in the property dispute. Mike was making jestures to the judge Bob Berger.
To me the whole deal smelled like shit. All the Violantes wanted was the prperty they paid for when the bought the place.
So,it apperars BLV lost the law suit. This lost law suit is the reason BLV needed the money from the trees in Carson Park,according to the BLV clerk.

I spent 5 years around ever part of BLV government,to learn the BLV clerk runs things,because she is the keeper of the check book,and the mayor has no balls.

Everyone also knew about the Akron Beacon Journal article,about local fire departments. One audience member talked of a time,when Franklin Township was thinking about using the BLV police department for their police protection.
Franklin Township decided not to do it,because they feared Franklin Township could become a police state,and only worry about how many traffic tickets could be given out.
I thought that statement was just one of the many reasons BLV needs something better,than what it now has.
One of the Trustees said,he had heard a rumor about BLV going back to the Township. I told everyone about this blog,in case they didn't already know.
The trustees full well know about my story of trying to help,for free,BLV get it's shit together.
I told the trustees,that after over 5 years,and many donated hours.
I felt saving BLV was not do-able. There were some further discussions in the parking lot,with audience members.
The Franklin Township meeting went,like the other Franklin Towship meetings I have been to over the years.
WE,left the meeting with a sense of at least these people listen,and try to solve problems,and not wait 35 years to do it.

Laurel Archer,and myself are working on a 6 page envelope,about the problems with BLV employee Allen Mathes. The envelope will contain the e-mails sent to BLV mayor Hal Lehman,and BLV police chief Dave Kinney. These e-mails show I have tried to get village officials to do something about Allen Mathes,before there's bloodshed,but the typical BLV responce was to do nothing. In fact Dave Kinney went that extra mile to stir up more trouble with Mathes. It doesn't take much with Mathes,he needs help.
The 6 page envelope is going to be given to every BLV official,the Sheriff,the Prosecutor,the village insurance company,and the OHIO Ethics Commission.
An extra note will be in the envelope for the Prosecutor and the Sheriff,asking them what charges need to be filed,and how do we go about it. It's way past time for BLV leadership,to be put out of our misery. said...: I had the same feeling as Sis,when I left the Franklin Township Trustee's meeting Tuesday nite.
Over the years I've been to other Franklin Township meetings. Including one to check about having BLV fire department classes at my shop.
Anytime I ever went to a Franklin Township meeting,I was treated with respect,and my questions were answered,plus things were actually done in a timely fashion.

I took pictures of a falling down garage next to my house in BLV. The picture had kids playing in the falling down garage. I gave those pictures to BLV council,and the BLV zoning inspector.They said they lost the pictures,and 25 years later the garage is worse,and kids still play in it.

The BLV fire classes will never happen at my shop. BLV fire inspector,and fireman Jon Mathes finished that,for everyone. The leadership in BLV has been at it,way too long.

A look you in the eye meeting,works for me. said...: I've decided not only are we going to send a letter,to James Love,of Love Insurance,the company that insures BLV.
We are going to have a real look you in the eye meeting. Over the years I have found those kind of meetings seem to work much better,than any other way of dealing with a problem.
E-mails are great,but I'm still a little old fashioned. I fully intend to follow through with this.
After my phone conversation with James Love yesterday,I realized James Love didn't have a clue,what was going on in BLV. It's not his fault. Love Insurance only knows what the BLV clerk tells the insurance rep.
I'm pretty sure the BLV clerk never told Love Insurance,she had 6 family members getting village money.
I'm also sure she never told Love Insurance about any of the maintenance problems,with village vehicles or equipment.
I'll also bet the BLV clerk never told Love Insurance there are no job applications for most BLV employees.
These are just a few things I feel James Love deserves to know.

Guess what,the records are not ready. The BLV clerk,along with her long lost friend,RT Mansfield,told Laurel that the BLV attorney would be sending us a letter,because they did not have some of the requested records.
This sounds about right for the village idiots.

Here's the funny part.
The BLV zoning inspector RT Mansfield,full well knows about the BLV clerk,and her nepotism.
The BLV clerk Ethel Nemeth,full well knows the zoning inspector is not honest,and does not do his job.
Over the years they both have bitched about each other.

Todd owed Dan money for repairs for 3 years. Todd was able to go on vacation in the van,Dan fixed,while Dan paid the parts bill.
Dan had Todd do some work for him,so Todd could pay his bill. Dan had to get some of the work done over.

The last time Todd brought his van to Dan,it was missing on 1 cylinder. Dan told Todd,what MIGHT be wrong. Dan put injection cleaner in Todd's van and never told him. That's probably what fixed it. Dan finally had enough of Todd's bullshit,and wanted him gone.

If you call 911 for a fire or squad,you would still get the same people you have been getting for many years,and that's not the BLV fire department.
If you call 911,and need the police,you would get the Sheriff's department,that you get most of the time anyways. Plus,they're better trained in things besides stop sign guarding,and front license plate violatons.

Zoning doesn't get done anyways,so this would not matter.

The grass around the lake would get mowed the way it used to,by village residents who use the lake.

The grass in the ball field would get mowed by the baseball pepole if they want to use the field,if not,a nice woods would be OK.
We never really needed the new village hall,that just takes clerk gang members to maintain it.
We could rent out the new hall because it has free heat.

The snow plowing could be farmed out.

A boat belonging to Laurel Archer's grandson was impounded by BLV,this week. The boat was in front of Laurel's house,2 houses down from Mansfield's house,on South Pleasant,on the lake.

Here's the real kicker.
When I (Dan Boyle) stored impounded boats for BLV,I told them you have to proivide a reasonably secure place for impounded property,that's the law.
SO,the BLV idiot leaders are impounding boats,beside the BLV salt shed,on Merrill Road,very close to the BLV police station.
I just found out about 2 hours ago,Laurel Archer's Grandson's boat was stolen from beside the BLV salt shed,because the village idiots,did not provide a reasonably secure place for the boats.

Now,the tax payers of BLV,will need to buy a boat for Laurel's grandson,that's the way it is.

You can see what the highest taxes in the county gets BLV residents. Park Avenue has flooded everytime it rains hard,for the 35 years I have lived in BLV near the ball field.

Mansfield took a shit fit,because he knew I would find out the truth about his little empire. Besides,I didn't want to own a house near Mansfield anyways. Mansfield once told me he was going to own on either side of his house one day. That's why he never wanted his neighbor Mark to fix his house.
I was the one who got Mark started on fixing his house,because I was worried about Sis,and her saftey,living beside an un-safe house. Mansfield also told me the only reason he was nice to his other neighbor,was because he was going to own that house,one day too. Mansfield said he really couldn't stand the drunk ass holes.(his words)
Mansfield will do whatever it takes to promote what he thinks is right. I watched him do this the whole time I was an un-paid BLV zoning inspector.(over 5 years)

The first thing BLV needed to do was provide a reasonably secure area for impounded things.
BLV could not do this.
The clerk wanted to do vehicles,because she thought there was money to be made. I refused to do this,because I wanted NO part of BLV and it's book-keeping.
The other thing was,by law you are supposed to impound things within the village or city limits,so people can have easy access to their belongings.
I decided to let BLV put the impounded boats on my Franklin Township property.
I also decided to Charge NO MONEY,because I again didn't want to be apart of BLV book-keeping,and taking any kind of money,would have been a conflict of interest,because I was an un-paid BLV zoning inspector.

The BLV clerk thought I should charge storage for the boats,and give the money to BLV. RT Mansfield,and Dave Kinney were supposed to do the paper work on the boats,they never did.
SO,the impounded boats were done the good old BLV way,and I got sick of that too.
I forced BLV to take the boats back to BLV. Then the mayor puts the boats beside the salt shed on Merrill Road,near the BLV police station,with no way to secure them,plus some are holding standing water.
RT Mansfield decided to impound Laurel Archer's grandson's boat,for spite,and this is going to bite him in the ass,BIG TIME.

Many years ago I asked R T Mansfield, as Zoning person, about my son building a dock in front of the house on South Pleasant, he said "no, there are only so many docks allowed on the lake", again I guess his dock was the only one allowed.
About a year after that someone asked him if it was legal for his dock to go so far out into the lake. His answer was "There are no rules regarding docks in Brady Lake".
My next door neighbor had trash in bags, not containers, piled about five feet high for months. It was there so long there was a dead rat in it. I asked and asked R T to do something, he didn't, there was a "friend" connection there. I threatened to go to the County Health Deartment and R T loaded the trash in his truck and took it to his shop.
My grandson, Chris borrowed a friends boat and put the motor in my front yard overnite and R T called Dan first thing the next morning and told him that the motor had to be moved, that we cannot have this! It was there less than 24 hours.
One of his friends was doing some construction without a permit. I asked a council person about it and was told that " R T said as long as he was present during the construtcion, a permit was not needed". The next day they had a permit posted.
I only asked about the permit because R T made a special trip to make sure a friend of mine had one.
This sort of thing and much much, more has been the case since I moved back to the lake twenty three years ago.
It is odd that just before Chris' boat was impounded, I had words with R T regarding the distruction of the woods.
I am extremely upset about the woods being destroyed, (I would think that R T would be too, something fishy there) but even more so because the trees which are a threat to the homes on S. Pleasant are being left because "they are not worth any money for the village". If that doesn't show their priorities nothing ever will.
Seriously I am not a trouble maker but I know right from wrong and there is nothing right here.
I know that to start with R T needs to go, they all need to go, that would be a real asset to the village.
R T has a very nice wife, who I have always considered a friend, probably not since I've made my opinions known, but I honestly hope all is well with her.
I hope that we can all stick together and do what's right for the village since they won't!

Boats have been put there for many years with NO problem,until the woman who owns the house on South Pleasant,near the zoning inspector's house,and her pain in the ass boy friend,started making village officials,especially the loud mouthed zoning inspector,do their jobs,they get paid to do.

I'm elated because I know "what goes around always comes around" and Robert T is long over due. R T's not doing his job with some (actually most) and overdoing it with others has gone on far too long.
You cannot talk down to people, ignore honest resident's needs, overlook problem situations because they grow into something that can no longer be ignored, like R T Mansfield himself.
I think that the mayor probably stood up to R T for the first time (with the boat problem) in his career but I think it may be too late.
However I have to give credit where credit is due.
But I gotta ask, where is R T's boat? It is no longer on South Pleasant, it doesn't seem to have been impounded, or did somebody steal it too (?), or, he could have moved it to his shop.

Since BLV did not impound the zoning inspector RT Mansfield's unregistered boat,and it's no longer on South Pleasant,in front of his house.
That only leaves 1 likely place. The boat is probably at his un-licensed junk yard on Route 43 near the bridge,near the gravel pit.
The place that has no Portage County permit for it's septic system.
All business properties in Portage County,that have a septic system,are to register with the Portage County Health Department,each year.
The health department then comes out,and checks the septic system,plus you pay a once a year fee.

Inspections,and inspectors keep people safe,and healthy,if the inspectors do their job.
Sometimes citizens have to turn in a health violation to the health department,because some people (RT) are not honest enough to care about the health,and safety of other people.

RT Mansfield took over the property dispute between the Violantes,the Hostlers,and the Berishas on West Shore Drive.
The first thing that was wrong was,Berisha had dumped one hell-of-a lot of dirt in the lake, to make himself more shore line.
RT Mansfield chose to look the other way about that,and go after the new guy in BLV. All the new guy wanted is what property he had paid for when he bought the old Hissom place.
Finally when left with no choices,Violante sued the village,and RT Mansfield.
The village lost,and they should have.
We now can see why RT never wanted to go after the Berishas for dumping dirt in the lake. RT has been doing it for years,plus running his own little Kingdom on South Pleasant.
