Went though the village the other day--one cop car at the hall and down the road one comming out of merril rd headed back to the village.
They do like to get those out of village tickets!!!!

The 2 boats used to be inside the fire station,strapped to the wall.
That meant if BLV was called for water rescue they first had to get a fireman to the station,then get the boat off the wall,and loaded on a truck,then get the boat to the lake,then get the boat in the water,and out in the lake to where they were needed.

I was at the BLV fire department 1 Tuesday nite. It took the BLV firemen 28 minutes to get out in the lake,where 2 guys were in a boat.

Think about this.
That's 28 minutes because there were firemen already at the station,and the boat was already on the fire truck.
Just think how long it would take considering NO BLV firemen live in the village.
Here's the real dysfunctional part.
The BLV fire department has WATER RESCUE decals on the side of the fire trucks.
Now that BLV has a recue boat in the water,it's not a hell-of-a lot better.

These BLV fire department problems are just some of the reason I,Dan Boyle,donated 6 years of FREE help to the BLV fire department. I finally became so disgusted about the saftey issues,that could kill someone,I decided to start telling the truth about the BLV fire department.
That's when the BLV idiot officials had enough of my FREE help. I was also the guy who got the fire trucks where they would pass a pump,and saftey test. Before I came along,some would not pass either test,and 1 truck would not hold water.

As it stands now.
I'm no longer allowed in the fire station,a public building,with no writen reason,clearly a violation of my civil rights,and one of the reasons,I WILL,be filing a law suit.; August 29, 2011 at 10:23 AM

Dave Kinney should not be a cop,that's just why he was not allowed out on road patrol when he worked at the Sheriff's Department. Kinney is out-of-control with his BLV power trip.

There are 2 women who live on Lakeview Drive. They keep their house,and property in good order. The last time they mowed their lawn,remember the grass on their lawn never gets too long,the BLV police department went to their house,and told them to clean the grass clippings off Lakeview Drive.

While all the serious problems are going on in BLV,the BLV cops are worried about a few grass clippings.

This is just what we've been talking about when we say the Gene Pool in BLV is too small to do anything in a NON-DYSFUNCTIONAL way.
Couple the gene pool with not enough tax base,and you have BLV as you and I know it.

Many of us BLV residents feel the only safe way out is to,as Anonymous 12:49 AM put it,REJOIN Franklin Township. We're meeting with the Portage County Commissioners 9/1/11. We're looking not so much for help,but for answers as to how to go about what needs to be done about BLV,besides keeping BLV,BLV.
It's looking like a law suit against the BLV officials is the way to go.
I've lived in BLV,and owned a home for more than 35 years. Things with the BLV leadership have NEVER been right. I also spent 6 years donating many hours to BLV,only to find out,things are worse than I imagined.

This whole thing is not just going to go away by having a new mayor or clerk. It wouldn't matter who was mayor or clerk,there's just not enough tax base,and there never will be.
I own houses,and a business in Franklin Township.

We all need to be aware of who is running and ask questions.
Ask as many questions as you have, remember, these people are working for us, the taxpayer and residents, not visa-versa as they seem to think or would like you to think.
We pay them with our tax money and they are answerable to all of us, we are their employer and boss!
Even though this bunch might not realize that due to their ignorance, that is the way it is!
Another thing to think about is the seats where no one is running for them.
They will be appointed by the council and if you are interested in them, let everyone know it.
These vacancies have been filled by family and friends in the past and I feel that that is a lot of the problem here.
I hope that we all haven't given up like we have going to their meetings.

For some reason,I Dan Boyle,was thinking the Commisssioners might try to talk us out of a law suit against the BLV officials.
I was happy to hear them say,after they learned a few things about BLV leadership,do what ever you think is best to finish it,meaning BLV.

We talked about many things,but joining forces when your short on money,was talked about buy all,including the Sheriff.
The Sheriff was there to talk about lack of money,and what to do.
I was able to tell them all about how much BLV spends on a dysfunction police and fire department.
I think everyone there knew BLV isn't working for the tax payers,they just needed some details,and they got plenty.

More of what Sis Archer and myself talked with the commissioners about will be posted.
Just like this is an open blog,we had an open meeting with the commissioners today. I left there office feeling better,plus we got the guided tour of things.

Today we will,be in search of a much needed item for the BLV police department. The Police department might NOT think so,but the rest of us sure do.

We will be in search of about 1/2 dozen OR so, LURKER LAUNCHERS.
These are devices that are placed on private properties,behind bushes,behind buildings,on the other side of blind hills and curves. In other words,just about any place you have seen a BLV Lurking Cop.
When the LURKER LAUNCHERS are in place,the BLV Lurkers,after parking on top of the LURKER LAUNCHERS,and turning on their radar,will set off the LURKER LAUNCHER.

Why even have zoning in BLV ? said...: There was a complaint made out about BLV employee Allen Mathes operating a business at his Erie Street house.
Mathes lives on Erie,on the curve where Erie becomes Merrill.
The back of the Mathes property faces Onondago. The complaint was given to the BLV zoning inspector RT Weaselfield,plus all BLV officials. This complaint was written months ago,and nothing has been done.(see pictures)

In fact if you drive by the Mathes property you can see stacks of large wooden crates,on 2 trailers.

Your request was to general and not specific enough. When you ask them to compile information from various sources, or for a record they don't keep, the law allows them to tell you the record does not exist.
I know you didn't actually mention the words compile in your request, but when you ask for all the tickets written during a specific time period in specific location, it requires someone to gather that info from different sources and create a document.
Under the sunshine laws a government agency isn't required to create a document to satisfy a request,the document must already exist.

It would help to know what the type of document you want is officially named.
For example if you knew exactly how the Village logged their traffic tickets and what that log was named, you could request that specific document. Also if you want to request documents related to rental property, you would ask for "All rental inspection forms for a specific property or properties". You can't just ask how many rental inspection have been conducted, because that would require someone to create that document.
The type of requests you are making are the type used in legal discovery in a law suit, where fishing expeditions are allowed.
If you can do a little more home work or consult with another municipality, or ask your Attorney to help you write the request, and define the specific names of the document you want, you may have more success.
When I say success i don't think for a minute that the Village will play ball, no matter how you word your request for records, if you plan to pursue them legally at some point for not providing you with records, you need to show you were requesting a specific record that they did not provide, and not a general request. Remember they can be fined for each record they don't surrender, but they are not going to be fined for a compilation of information that does not exist, in the form of an individual document.

The attorney we now have is going to help us with that task. What we have been doing is trying to set the ground work for the law suit. The blog no matter how rough it seems,is now a public record.
