Brady Lake Village (BLV) residents have paid enough !
Brady Lake Village (BLV) residents pay the highest taxes in the county plus an income tax. BLV has horrible streets,a caved in lake overflow and a non-functional fire department. The list could go on. As of 5/25/14 BLV has a police chief (John Marra) who had sex with a 16 year old girl while on duty for another police department. BLV mayor Hal Lehman knows about the new BLV police chief's record but doesn't give a shit. BLV was and/or is going down the tubes !

1- Brady Lake Village (BLV) had a BLV hall on Merrill Road that wasn't fancy but it was paid for.
In other words it did the job for a small village like BLV.
2- BLV clerk Ethel Nemeth with the help of BLV councilman Ted Holland convinced some people BLV needed a new BLV hall.
3- BLV clerk Ethel Nemeth and her family had a Failed food service business in Ravenna.
4- So with the Nemeth family having money problems,BLV clerk gang nepotism was born.
5- Not only did BLV clerk Ethel Nemeth have 6 family members getting BLV money,Honest Ethel set her sights on the back half of the new BLV hall for food service,of course her family being part of it.
6- The old BLV hall sets empty while the BLV clerk gang tells us BLV residents they can rent it out.
7- The new BLV hall deal was done by having 3 council meetings in 1 month to pass an ordinance to buy the new BLV hall Without BLV residents voting on the BLV hall purchase.(see blog records)
8- BLV is in debt just about the same amount of money spent on the new BLV hall.
The question is and or the questions are.
1- I'll bet most BLV tax paying residents never knew how the new BLV hall deal took place ?
2- Does this piss off any BLV residents to the point of a law suit ?
3- If the old BLV hall is good enough to rent out,then why did the BLV clerk gang put BLV residents in more debt ?
4- Maybe Ethel Nemeth and Ted Holland would like to pay off the BLV debt ?

They seem to think they don't have to answer to us the residents and taxpayers!

Money Making Suggestion:
The BLVPD should host field trips for local Police Academy cadets charging $5 or $10 per head. This will allow the cadets to see what happens when you have low scores or screw up at a real police job. All police cadets should have a chance to witness what working for free with a bunch of rejects looks like.
1- Brady Lake Village (BLV) seems to attract cops who are not wanted other places. (rejects)
2- BLV is 0.3 square miles in size,has about 500 residents but has 3 cop cars and about 20 reject cops.
3- Most BLV cops work for free to keep their police commission.
4- According to some BLV cops who are no longer working for BLV, they were told by BLV clerk Ethel Nemeth to write more tickets or they might not have a BLV police department.
5- As we have been learning BLV mayor Hal Lehman doesn't give a rat's ass what kind of past record a BLV cop has.
6- With a mostly No Show BLV police chief (John Marra) and a BLV mayor (Hal Lehman) with No Balls,BLV cops do as they please.

Lt. Darrin Powers of the Streetsboro Police Department said a fisherman saw somebody throw an object into the lake a couple of months ago, and called the police because he thought it might be a firearm.

Why not sell it go back to the old village hall (which was totally sufficient).
The extra money (already out of our pockets) could pay for the streets.
Let's turn it around-we are way past due for some of our hard earned money to come back to US in the way of benefits/services to all, not just a few!

Inquiring minds know bad driving when they see it.
1- Today 6/1/14 at about 5:25 PM,Brady Lake Village (BLV) had 2 cop cars out at once driving in circles around the BLV ball-field area.
2- Laurel Archer and I saw the black and white BLV cop car back out on Lakeview Drive from the BLV ball-field in front of my Gray Chevy Pickup then go South on Lakeview Drive,turn right at the intersection of Park Avenue and Lakeview Drive and then do a U-turn on Park Avenue to come back up and/or North on Lakeview Drive.
3- We also saw the BLV black and white cop car pull out in front of another car when the black and white BLV cop car Did NOT stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Park and Lakeview.
4- Laurel Archer and I were just getting home from Sunday flea markets,so we were in my Gray Chevy Pickup in our driveway at 6482 Lakeview drive when we saw this BLV cop car driving badly.
5- The BLV black and white cop car had no overhead lites on when this bad driving took place.
6- I decided to take a picture or 2 when this BLV cop car came back up and/or North on Lakeview Drive.
7- Laurel mentioned to me the BLV cop when he went by our driveway had something in his hand part-way covering his face.
8- When I put the picture on our computer and blew it up,the BLV cop in the black and white BLV cop car was on his phone while doing the bad driving around the BLV ball-field area today about 5:25 PM.

1- On 5/30/14 there was a fire at 6290 Lakeview Drive in Brady Lake Village.(BLV)
2- I got a phone call at my business (Boyle's Automotive) from a neighbor of 6290 Lakeview Drive about the fire,so I went to take some pictures at about 4:30 PM.
3- Ravenna Township and Rootstown fire department were first on the scene and put the fire out.
4- Kent was also there and BLV came last and did nothing.
5- When I started taking pictures BLV cop Tyler McClamroch told me I wasn't going to take pictures and he might take my camera.
6- I took about 150 picture and still have my camera.
7- On 6/2/14 Laurel (Sis) Archer and I were coming back from Luigi's Pizza in Akron about 12:15 AM.
8- I was driving my 08 White with Blue Stripes Shelby Mustang that everybody knows who's Mustang it is.
9- Tyler McClamroch in a BLV cop car ran up close behind us with No over-head lites on,so I pulled over and told Tyler to get fucked.

1- By the time I got to the Brady Lake Village (BLV) fire on 5/30/14 at 6290 Lakeview Drive,the fire was out.
2- I could see Ravenna Township was there first and Rootstown was second.
3- Those 2 fire departments put out the fire.
4- BLV chief Aronn Flynt was wearing shorts and a T-shirt.(see blog picture)
5- I'm not sure where Aaron Flynt came from to get to the BLV fire,but it looked like he was very late and did nothing.

The BLV FD finally showed their true colors last Friday.
It's sad but true-they could not get to a fire fast enough to save anyone or anything!
They have their Tuesday evening get togethers, none of them live in the village, and most have jobs elsewhere.
All at the expense of our safety.
I am certainly glad that we have mutual aid and that we can depend on them for fast and professional response.
Sorry Brady Lake, I know you tried to make a real fire department but were ignored by the powers that run the village for far too long!
You are now rated down with the PD and village officials.
Thank you to all of the other fire departments who responded to and actually put out the fire last Friday on Lakeview Drive.
By the time BLV FD arrived the situation was under control by others, they didn't even hook up their hoses and the chief never even suited up.
And thanks also to the diligence of the dispatcher who called for help from elsewhere, just as they did when the car went into the lake last year.
No life was lost in either instance because of the quick actions of others.

1- When I Dan Boyle was an unpaid Brady Lake Village (BLV) zoning inspector I was usually the person who took care of trash and unlicensed and/or not running vehicle complaints.
2- I had to go to 6290 Lakeview Drive 2 times for trash and 2 unlicensed and/or not running vehicles.
3- Both times I was at 6290 Lakeview Drive I was inside the house.
4- The house was terrible inside and smelled and looked like shit.
5- 6290 Lakeview Drive was on my list of BLV rental houses that needed a rental inspection.
6- I started the BLV rental inspection program and did 4 rental inspections.

At a 2014 Brady Lake Village (BLV) council meeting BLV clerk Ethel Nemeth boasted how Cheap BLV cop cars were getting repaired.
On 5/19/14 Laurel Archer and I Dan Boyle made a BLV public records request asking for repair bills and parts bills for the BLV cop cars.
As of 6/13/14 this BLV public records request is of course Un-answered.
I did some checking and the parts for the BLV cop cars were bought at NAPA in Kent.
The parts were signed for and repairs were done by BLV cop Tyler McClamroch.
Real repair shops are certified in most repairs and carry Garage Keepers Insurance.
I wonder where BLV cop Tyler McClamroch got certified and what kind of insurance he has to cover his work and/or BLV cop car repairs ?

On 6/13/14 at about 7:44 PM,I Dan Boyle and Laurel Archer were driving through Brady Lake Village (BLV)coming back from the car wash in my Red 1970 Chevelle.
We drove by the BLV cop car garage on Merrill and Garfield. I took a picture of a White Chevy Impala with no front plate,but has an Ohio-GDW-5913 plate on the back with a number 28 sticker for Geauga County.
In this White Impala was BLV cops Jeff Lyle and John Delillo as passengers and an unknown BLV cop was driving.
This Impala followed Laurel and I through BLV.
When I turned around on Lakeview Drive to go to my house in BLV to call 911 and/or the PC Sheriff,the 3 BLV cops in the Impala started yelling.
At 7:48 PM Laurel Archer called 911 and then later called the Sheriff.
Unknown to Laurel and I there was a warrant for my arrest for some BLV cop Tyler McClamroch incidents.
I then went to the PC Sheriff's Office and turned myself in.
There's going to be way more to this BLVPD reject cops story.
The bottom line is.
It's pretty f-cking bad when BLV residents have to call the Portage County Sheriff about the BLV reject cops.

2- We were going out to eat and get food for the coming week at the Mustard Seed in Akron.
3- When we got to the end of Lakeview Drive where it meets Brady Lake Road,the black and white BLV cop car,with 2 BLV cops in it,was sitting beside BLV hall on the north side close to the intersection,making it tuff to see on-coming traffic.

I have been in the area for many years and cannot help but notice, by watching and talking with others, that the clerk of Brady Lake Village appears to be running the show.
She seems to believe that the village is her sole property and you people in the village are merely her pee-ons. She seems to strike fear into the mayor and council and influences the police department to act on her behalf and issue all the tickets possible to keep the little village afloat (all the
while ignoring the fire department which would not benefit her personally or immediately). If the police would wake up, they would realize that she has little to no concern for their safety. She does not seem to care about the people, only her family and herself who have profited from the village and taxpayers for many years.
She does not seem to know that Public Records are just that "Public". What in the world does she fear about the public knowing what is going on with "THEIR" village and THEIR" tax dollars.
If you push the issue or ask questions she cries that "They're picking on me, poor me". When this is not the case. People have a right to speak, question, and be answered. The question I have- Since I have been reading about this what seems like 3 times a week on the record pub website. The last I remember about Brady Lake was from the early-mid 80's college days when we would ride our motorcycles down by the lake and spend some good times with some bad girls. It wasn't too great then but it sounds like its some sort of black hell hole now. Why would anyone want to live there ? If its gotten worse I would just pack up and leave if I could. I'm not sure what the residents feel but my perception is a village broke beyond repair. I'm not sure that annexing into a township will turn the area around much as hurt the the annexing township. I am reading things showing me a major lack of infrastructure from Water Hazards and basic drivable streets to a fire dept that really does not need to be there (why maintain trucks that do not get used) and even basic neighborhood looks. The pictures I see are eye-sores. I was an Urban Studies Major at Kent many years ago, and well the voters voted the officials in .So now they may have to bite the bullet and remember that a dollar today does not mean salvation tomorrow. Not all the houses in Brady Lake Village including my own are shit-hole fire-traps.
The BLV blog sites show the bad houses for a reason. To make people aware of another thing the BLV officials have not taken care of.
I've lived in BLV for 38 years and I like my house and garage. I'm not leaving and I'm always going to try to make things better for most BLV residents.
I'm not sure what all the answers are but things can Not go on the way they are in BLV.

1- After a recent 2014 Brady Lake Village (BLV) council meeting,outside BLV hall,BLV councilman Dean Correll told Laurel Archer and I Dan Boyle there was talk of ending and/or Not having the BLV fire department.
2- Today 6/22/14 Laurel Archer got a phone call and/or message from a former BLV official telling Laurel that the BLV fire department was going to end and/or be stopped.
3-I also listened to this phone call-message.
4-There never has been,nor is there ever going to be enough money to operate the BLV fire department in a way that is safe for all BLV area residents.(I was at the BLVFD for 6 years)
The question is and/or the questions are.
1-Will the BLV officials (clerk gang) try to keep this latest BLV fire department information from BLV residents ? (of course they will)
2-If BLV can't afford it's own fire protection,how can BLV afford real fire and squad protection from a real fire department ?
3-Didn't BLV voters just vote FOR a tax increase for the BLV fire department,when they voted NOT to dissolve BLV ?
4- Can the BLV clerk gang be trusted to do the right thing when it comes to BLV emergency services. (of course not)
5- Do the people on BLV council Not know BLV is broke ?
6-Is it just me or should more people have voted Yes on issue 10 to dissolve BLV ?

You tried years ago to tell them that the Fire Department was in trouble but they wouldn't listen, just totally ignored the problem.
You have taken an enormous amount of harassment from the mayor, clerk, and PD because you stood up for what is right for all of us!

Inquiring minds want better emergency services for BLV.
1- On 4/22/13 a car went in Brady Lake on West Shore Drive in Brady Lake Village (BLV) about 2 blocks from the BLV fire department (BLVFD) but the BLVFD was No-Show.
2- On 5/30/14 there was a fire in BLV at 6290 Lakeview drive in BLV about 2 blocks from the BLVFD but the BLVFD was the last Fire Department to get to this BLV fire.
3- As of 6/23/14 the BLVFD rescue boat is still dry-docked behind the BLVFD.
4- Word has it (no facts yet) the BLVFD chief quit over lack of support from BLV officials and/or no money for safe BLVFD equipment.
The question is and/or the questions are.
1- Who will be stupid enough to be the next BLVFD chief ?
2- Is it time for the State Fire Marshal to step in on the BLVFD problems ?
3- Can you blog viewers now see the BLVFD and BLVPD are both a cluster f-ck ?
4- Will BLV mayor Hal Lehman once again appoint his old pal Ken Bescoe to be the BLVFD chief ?
5- Is it just me or should more people have voted yes on issue 10 to dissolve BLV ?
It's not the years it's the mileage . I have been researching Brady Lake for about a week now since reading this blog, the record pub, and the news stories that ran on our local carrier here in Toledo. Since such a small hometown village makes such huge national headlines, I am surprised there is no open forum for residents. \
Money (D-) the village has none end of story. They spend and sell like broke people and if you act like broke people you will go broke. If leaning on ticket revenue is true then they are in trouble since quite a few are dismissed. Services (F) All failures . The rope a dope fire dept tax levy should not be passed if there was not going to be one. Firefighters are wonderful but I have checked and cannot find the Fire Dept having responded to a call first in recent memory. Police (C) Public perception is this is a ticket trap, and looking at the traffic cases I think the public is right. Poor decision making by some police officers has also put them in hot water. Streets/Road dept (F) the roads in Costa Rica look better. This should be priority 1 since the unsafe streets cause the problems needing emergency services that are not in place. Sustainability (C) I checked and found 3 trash companies picking up trash in a 1/4 mile village. 1 trash company to the low bidder is fine. Also an Abitibi Bin is free and recycled paper from it pays back money. Transparency of govt (D-) From what I am reading some things are being overlooked I have sat in on hundreds of small/medium/large village counsel meetings all over the Midwest and the list of bills to be paid has been read aloud at every one of them, blind motions to pay bills is not accepted practice and a first for me in 25 years consulting. Elected officials (B-) while they may care about their village. I think they do the problems are now beyond their expertise. It may be time to put aside the lets wait it out mentality and find people who can get grants for roads,equipment, training and cleanup relief for floods and inspections. Small towns in rural Indiana with 140 residents and 13 streets have gotten grants for things. I haven't a clue why Brady Lake Village cannot. But I have not seen one awarded to them in any research.

Good assessment except Elected and Appointed officials (B-). B- for their hearts but D- for their heads. The last attempt for a grant to repair the lake overflow was launched by concerned residents. The wise Village Officials knew this was a waste of time because lack transparency and accountability of Village records. The FUBAR situation that the Village is in scares away qualified residents and the current leaders have a vested interest in preventing sunshine.

1- Brady Lake Village (BLV) had and/or has a BLV hall beside the BLV fire department that's paid for,but is nothing fancy.
2- BLV officials (clerk gang) being un-happy with a paid for, but not fancy BLV hall,bought a new BLV hall.
3- The total cost of this new BLV hall was about $250,000.
4- This is just about the same amount of money BLV is in debt.

1- When I Dan Boyle was an unpaid Brady Lake Village (BLV) zoning inspector I was working with Beck Energy from Ravenna Ohio on BLV getting a gas well in the BLV ball-field.
2- The well head and tanks were to be located in 1 spot at the north end of the BLV ball-field.(cost savings)
3- Once I found out most BLV area residents did NOT want the gas well I quit working with Beck Energy.
4- BLV clerk Ethel Nemeth and paid BLV zoning inspector RT Mansfield took over the gas well deal using Ohio Valley Energy.
5- The gas well head ended up in front of BLV clerk Ethel Nemeth's house at the south end of the ball-field and the gas well tanks are at the other end of the BLV ball-field.
6- Locating the gas well head in front of BLV clerk Ethel Nemeth's house gives Honest Ethel a royalty check and Ethel doesn't have to look at the gas well tanks.(Ethel won't tell how much royalty)
7- Bottom line is,most BLV area residents did NOT want the gas well,but BLV clerk Honest Ethel Nemeth got her way once again.(pulled another fast 1)

1- For way too many years I Dan Boyle went to Brady Lake Village (BLV) council meetings with pictures and written complaints about the falling down buildings next to my house at 6482 Lakeview Drive in BLV.
2- Nothing was ever done about these fire-trap shit-hole buildings,so I told BLV zoning inspector RT Mansfield I was thinking about suing BLV to get something done.
