Dissolve Brady Lake Village. (BLV)
The issue of Dissolving Brady Lake Village (BLV) is on the November 2013 ballot.
If BLV is Dissolved,BLV will go back to Franklin Township.(FT)
Because BLV came from FT and BLV is surrounded by FT,it's the only way things can happen.
According to the Ohio Revised Code BLV is way too small to be a Township.
BLV residents Will Not pay the debt that the BLV officials created by Bad Tax Money Decisions.
A class action law suit will be filed so BLV residents Won't be stuck with the BLV official's Bad Tax Money Decisions.
Somebody besides BLV needs to own the lake and fix the caved in lake overflow.

Here's how things are in Brady Lake Village (BLV),aka,Clerksville with Kinneylaw.
Tonite about 8:00 PM,Laurel(Sis)Archer and I Dan Boyle went to down-town Kent to watch all the party kids.
When we left BLV there were 2 BLV cops at the end of Lakeview Drive near Brady Lake Road,with the BLV cop car over-head lites on.
In fact the 1 BLV cop was the same cop who was going to take my camera 1 nite in front of my house at 6482 Lakeview Drive in BLV,but I still have the camera.
Sis and I got home early,about 10:00 PM,because of the rain.
As we were backing in the driveway the BLV mayor and president of BLV council drove by in the BLV Ranger Mow Money pickup.
In our front yard was a Vote No On Issue 10 Brady Lake Save The Village sign.
So,this sign was put in our front yard while the BLV cops were near- by and the BLV mayor and president of council were also near-by.
I'll be taking pictures of this Vote No sign and have lots of fun with the pictures.
On a more serious side.
Placing a political sign in someone's front yard,with-out the property owner's permission is illegal,but after all this is Clerksville with Kinneylaw.

Not long after I Dan Boyle,aka, Blog Cam guy started telling how BLV was actually being operated,especially the BLV fire department,some BLV employees and officials started to Retaliate against me.
Twice BLV clerk-mayor Honest Ethel's grandson Commander Paranoid has been DRUNK and threatened me.(BLV police Toe 2 Toe chief did nothing)
So,I would say instead of Nepotism the BLV clerk gang should practice,TEETOTALISM,and especially Commander Paranoid should be a,TEETOTALER.
Today is Andover Ohio flea market day for Squaw Findabargin and Chief Kicksomeass and a picnic by the lake in Geneva Ohio.
I just hope the flea market duo only has do deal with flea market vendors who are,TEETOTALERS,or else the deals on cool stuff will suck.

As I was walking in the BEAUTIFUL park yesterday evening with the other village residents, and their children enjoying the donated village Halloween . I could not help but smile to see neighbor greeting neighbor, friend greeting friend, sharing , laughing and talking. There was no hate, no mistrust, no ill will. This is the axiom of village life. Sure it is not perfect, sure it is not ideal, but it is theirs and it is real. Daniel, you are smart enough to know that rule 1 in poker is to fold a losing hand the second you know its a losing hand. Put that energy to good use , talk to a village official after your issue fails and ask how to help fix Brady Lake. Don't waste your time holding a burning hot coal for a non existent enemy.

To: Dr Francis Sweeney: Apparently you failed to take your own advise. you are attempting to bluff with a loosing hand.
Where are all the good reasons to keep the Village you failed to post. You still have not given the residents one logical reason to vote no on issue 10.
You seem to be fixated with how wonderful life is because the village simply exists, well life will still be good after the village is gone, it will just be less expensive to live because of no income tax, and the roads will be better. and that's just two reasons of many.
The citizens of the former Village of Brady Lake will find Township life much more rewarding, and that's no bluff.
It strikes me as a bit naive, to suggest that sitting down with Village officials will ever accomplish anything. Unfortunately the people running the Village don't really care what Boyle or anybody else thinks about what the Village needs. If they did issue 10 would not be on the ballot, and if it fails they will just be more emboldened in their opposition to input from the citizens of the Village.
Francis Sweeney's post only reinforces the fact that we need to vote to dissolve the Village. Because the Village has proved to be impossible to talk with, and if history tells us anything, then talking is a loosing strategy. So if talking is not the answer we are left with a vote to dissolve as the only solution.

I Dan Boyle donated about 6 years to BLV trying to change things for the better,only to find out sometimes you just can't fix Broken.
Now it appears Francis Sweeney,11:44 AM,who was proved to be a fake,is an expert poker player and a Doctor giving me and BLV residents clerk gang advice.

As much as I disagree with your political ideology, I even more disagree with disrupting an Americans right to free speech. If that was done (and I have no reason to doubt you) It was not appropriate. However I do believe in doing the right thing. And that is telling you that this issue will fail, and you will end up losing more money from attempting to file a class action lawsuit. For a person who loves Kent History, you certainly do not take your own advice, you graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High Daniel. Hey Francis Sweeney, why not cut all the mela drama and give us real logical, and based on reality reasons, why any of us should not vote to dissolve the Village. We are still waiting.
We already know you are a sham, commenting under some alias, so your dishonesty doesn't help your credibility here, it only ties you to the rest of the Village officials.
It may comfort you to think that Dan is the only perceived enemy of the Village, but what about the rest of us, the others that signed the petition and gladly participate in a lawsuit against these crooks. The reality is some of us may sue the Village with or without Boyle. What do you want to say to us. Do you want to conjure up some silly observations of Village life we should all care about. Some memory that should in some way cancel out all the wrong doings, and mismanagement we have all witnessed.
You are incredibly naive to continue to believe that this whole situation is Boyle's fault. The citizens will win eventually, either at the ballot box or in courts, but be assured, they will win.
This is a forum to discuss Daniels plan/ pros and cons of dissolving the Village . This is not about finger pointing and name calling. Please refrain from using profanity or cheap shot comments, on either side It is not necessary . I do not agree in dissolving Brady Lake. But nobody is without sin, nor should those stones be cast. When you mention finger pointing and name calling are you referring to the meeting on October 5th at Village Hall.
Of course this meeting will not reflect the above in that context. This will be an intelligent meeting with the truth about the pros and cons of voting Yes On Issue 10!
And as you have been invited by other authors on this site, please, please try to refrain from your own finger pointing and pen some intelligent reasons why we should stay Brady Lake Village.
And just a note we are all part of the Village's heritage, as a matter of fact we are making history now!
Why are you concentrating so hard on Dan Boyle when there are many in the village who are intelligent enough not to believe the lies and propaganda being spread, lies that will only benefit a few?
All any one would have to do is a tiny bit of research and not listen to what anyone is saying and then make an intelligent decision on your own.

I was referring to the comments posted this morning that were removed. I was asking whoever posted them to refrain from it. They were in reference to past events. And had no bearing on Issue 10. I was not in attendance at the first village meeting so I cannot speak intelligently on the subject. I do however know a little about history. And while I may not be a seasoned politician I do know more than the average person. Hence I can tell you that the dissolution of BLV would mean loss of a lake, loss of a park , loss of the village hall, and property values plummeting. Having said all that. The village will still not be eradicated like you wish. Until the outstanding debt is paid the clerk and council must sit. However this is a moot point simply because the issue cannot pass. You do have some support but that support is so minimal that it may barely get 20 % of all votes cast. I actually talk to residents and ask them how they feel and the ratio is 80/20. However I am so low key that nobody even realizes I am there. And who am I ? Male , Female ? Old or young ? How do I know so much about Daniel ? How can I assure such accurate results? Could I be one of the people you trust? Am I be one of your numerous attorneys ? I already have a hunch you are learning to live with doubt, about yourself and Daniels future. And are pondering some very tough decisions.

I'm going to pass on the word of the day today and tell the true Brady Lake Village(BLV)history.
Brady Lake was named after the famous American Indian killer,Capt.Samuel Brady.
BLV was formed in 1927 by Mafia Gangsters who wanted to make their own rules to make money on Sundays.
In fact my house at 6482 Lakeview Drive in BLV was owned by 1 of the founding fathers of BLV and my garage is the old BLV gambling hall,plus I met and talked to the first Gangster owner of my house.
After the Gangsters left BLV,the few BLV residents were left with trying to operate BLV without Gangster money.
So,from the early years of BLV there has never been enough money to operate BLV in a way that is safe and fair to BLV tax paying residents.
As far as being rid of the BLV Gangsters,they're still here and called the BLV clerk gang.

To: Francis Sweeney: You may be low key, but you are still dishonest.
Half of the lake already belongs to Franklin Township, and nobody is prevented from using it. The debt will be paid down by selling the useless assets we have accumulated, and the ball field will most likely remain. The useless Village hall will be sold, because it was never needed.
If you thought your misinformation could pass as valid reasons to keep the Village they are not. You still have failed to give even one logical reason to keep the Village, much less three as you were asked.
As far as your prediction on election results, have you ever heard of a silent majority. Here in the Village many have learned not to voice a true opinion for fear of reprisal. I predict the election will be close, that's all, I would be showing my ignorance to attempt to to predict otherwise.
Francis you seem to exude a great amount of fear and apprehension towards the future, and of change.
You quoted bible wisdom in your post, so let me elaborate. You are correct we are not to be judges of others, but the bible teaches us that we are supposed to be fruit inspectors instead, and examine the fruits that others are bringing forth. If we examine the stewardship over our tax money and in the operation of the Village, we can conclude that our Village officials are producing rotten fruit, and God will judge them.
I have been following this conversation since it began. I was in attendance at the meeting and now I have to ask this question Are there really slot machines in the bottom of the Lake ? Has anyone ever run a metal detector over the area of where the amusement park was ? I am not a resident cannot vote on the issue and do not care if it passes or fails. But it sounds like quite a place. Especially for a culture/anthropology major. I also read it was an Indian burial ground in one of the posts.
The amusement park that came to be known as Brady Lake Electric Park came into being in 1890, when A. G. Kent purchased the lakefront property (150 acres) and began development

In all, it had a great run of 53 years.
The man who started it all, A. G. Kent, died in 1900.
In the 1990s Brady Lake Village added a village hall it could not afford, and a ball field, it also could not afford. Years of mismanagement, followed by the Village officials gambling on the need for a ball field, and new village hall, will prove to be its downfall.

Another factor in the fall of the BLV amusement park was the Great US Depression that started in late 1929 and ran through the 1930's.
My parents told me stories of being lucky to have money to buy food,but no money for fun things like the BLV amusement park and/or gambling.
1 thing I see we both agree on is the BLV officials(clerk gang)spent BLV tax dollars they really didn't have.
Then I uncovered the cheating of the BLV tax payers out of a safe fire department,to get what the BLV clerk gang wanted.
I might sound like a broken record,but hear goes.

Laurel, I think you are referring to the Mad Butcher of Kingsbury run, he stopped his work in Cleveland when the run was burned to the ground and the innocent residents arrested by Elliot Ness for lack of no better solution . I hate violence, even more than the idea of Brady Lake being dissolved. Why do people dislike a place with such a burning passion, even choose to live there. While it is your right to not be chased out of your house it is the residents right to have a village. Just because you carry a burning coal for the BLV Gang? It gives you no right to make the decision to force the ones who do not wish to be part of Franklin Township - Part of Franklin Township.

I just have a few things to say as we draw near Election Day:
1: The vast majority (those both for and against Issue 10) agree that Brady Lake Village cannot exist as a township. Technically I do not believe that Brady Lake was ever a township anyway. It has never been referred to as a "township". The paper they are producing was something which was done in many places in Portage the county by request of the County Prosecutor. I believe that it is being taken out of context by the village officials. It was meant to set boundary lines for voting purposes to stop one entity from voting on another entities issues and candidates (it was done to correct something overlooked from many years ago)It is clearly stated if your read the whole amendment and not just what is noted by BLV officials because it fits their agenda.
In fact it states on the first page that this was done to succeed and separate from Franklin Township. If anything that would support going back to Franklin Township. And that was done in 1993.Most know that it is what the village officials are using to deter votes to "no"! Why are they not doing what they KNOW is right for the people and help make us a part of Franklin Township where most KNOW that we are going to be eventually because of poor leadership in the village.
It appears to be just another bad decision on their part.
2: Attorney Mendenhall questioned how Brady Lake Village could not have secured assets to cover the debt. Our assets should cover the debt of 430,000.00, if the officials do not sell all of our assets before they leave office.
Is the money from the sale of Carson Park going toward the debt?
Or is that part of the assets which secures our debt? My guess would be that it will go to the "General Fund" for their pay checks.
Ask them for a copy of Brady Lake Village Ordinance No. 93-15, it is public record and you have every right to see it!

I can think of 430,000 reasons why Brady Lake Village should go back to Franklin Township-plus the mayor, clerk, zoning inspector, and some council people.
Does anyone realize that if Issue 10 had not come up that most residents would not know how bad of shape that the village is actually in and would vote to let the present administrators continue to get us further in the hole with out the benefit of services for us?
I really prefer accountable, dependable, and professional representation and services for my tax dollars.
I noticed something odd in the village.The village clerk's grandson Joshua Moore,who is the son of Jerry Moore and Jerry was the drunk guy at the 10/29/13 meeting at village hall and Joshua resigned from village council,has no vote no on issue 10 sign in his front yard on Lakeview Drive.The house Joshua lives in is owned by the village clerk and her husband.I wonder if Joshua has seen the truth or is he drunk again?I'll bet the clerk's angry about this one.

I was at the november 29th meeting at village hall about dissolving the village.I wondered why the village clerk's daughter's husband Jerry Moore would tell Dan Boyle to move from the village?Could it be that Dan has struck a nerve with the nepotism in the village and Jerry's part of it?
The village was unauditable for a year because the village clerk said a computer was doing strange things to her numbers.I think I might have uncovered the village computer problem.Listed on the village blogs is a record of former council president Ted Holland and the village clerk's daughter 's husband Jerry Moore as being the village computer committee.Could more village nepotism have played a role in the computer problem at village hall?

The village clerk's daughter who was a village employee and hired with no job application is the wife of former village councilman Jerry Moore.
Jerry Moore is the village councilman who spent too much council meeting time on an ordinance about dog shit in his front yard by the lake on Lakeview Drive.
The village has a fire department in need of most all equipment,many village streets are not able to be patched,the lake overflow doesn't work from lack of maintenance,village officials bought a new village hall not having the vote of village residents and now the village is broke but has dog shit signs and an ordinance thanks to the village clerk's son-in-law Jerry Moore.
My question is.

Brady Lake Village clerk Ethel Nemeth has a grandson named Joshua Moore who was on village council and was a village employee.Joshua is the son of former village councilman Jerry Moore.

Dan Boyle has made two complaints with the village police department about Joshua Moore's drunken threats towards Dan.
One complaint was with the village police chief David Kinney.Nothing has been done about either complaint and I wonder why this is?

I do not know whey the village officials are blaming Dan Boyle for the mess that they got us into.
As far a his record, he has more than paid his debt unlike the debt that the village gang are getting us deeper and deeper into!

I used to do many more things than unpaid zoning work and working on the BLV fire trucks for free.
All this allowed me to find out how BLV actually was and/or is being operated.
BLV will never have enough money to do what's best for all BLV residents.
The BLV clerk gang just isn't getting things done and never will. BLV going back from where it came Franklin Township is the best thing for all BLV residents. I will do whatever it takes to see that happen.

I watched the KSU news cast last night and I have to commend them for their election coverage.
What a bunch of bright young people, I was truly impressed and I know that they all have bright futures to look forward to.
What a refreshing experience when all we hear from radio and TV media is about drugs and shootings.
Everyone should witness these young people, maybe someone should do a documentary on them.
There was one young man who did a political analysis/commentary on Issue 10.
He was very well versed on Issue 10 and very professional. He did not seem to think that Brady Lake Village could or should continue, because of the State Auditor's opinion and because of the state of the village finances.
He definitely did his homework.
He gave a non partial and intelligent commentary and I just have to wonder why can't some of the residents in the village figure it out and not be a bunch of lemmings?!I attended one of the village meetings regarding Issue 10 and it was clearly a case of follow the Brady Lake leader.

In the Record Courier recently was a letter from some guy named McGoo or something like that.
Anyway, he suggested that some of Franklin Township be annexed into Brady Lake Village.
My question is, is he crazy? That's exactly what I said to the clerk a few years ago when she suggested that to me personally.
Why would anyone in Franklin Township want to be a part of the Brady Lake Village mess, pay higher real estate taxes plus a local income tax for poor roads, no services and to be harassed by the police?
Looks like there is a new member of the clerk gang, the name is McGoof, fits right in, unable to think for himself or they never would make such a suggestion.

Thru my years of employment and many, many communications and classes, one thing that stands out in my mind was "Be aware of your surroundings" which we all should be.

O K Mr. Mayor---I know that the bad roads, lack of salt for Winter, not fixing the overflow, selling the trees in Carson Park and now the park itself, the $430,000.00 debt, the lack of good judgment, hiring family and friends without following proper procedure, probably having to sell all we own, and all of the other problems in the village are all Dan Boyle's fault (as you have said many times) but maybe you should take a good long look at what your employees have done and made you what you are today!
Maybe it's time step up and to do what is right for the people, maybe ask the State Auditor's Office for advice and guidance? I would advise though that you involve one other person that you know you can trust.

Brady Lake Village (BLV) is broke with no signs of getting better. Most BLV streets are in need of paving. The lake overflow is caved in and flooding lake area properties.
The BLV fire department isn't even called for a car in the lake 2 blocks away.
Even people outside BLV can see the problems.
TV2 KSU now knows BLV should go back to Franklin Township.
The BLV officials are trying to sell Carson's Park,without the OK of BLV residents,that was donated to all BLV residents.
If you ask the wrong questions at a BLV council meeting your told to shut up or escorted from the meeting.
Trying to get BLV public records most times doesn't work.
BLV has turned into a police state because BLV needs the money.
The question is.
